"STOP CRIMES; STOP RAPES; ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!"

 

Hey guys, what’s up? I hope you’re all fine and good. Today, I was reading the newspaper and you know what I noticed? Most of the news was of violence, rapes, riots, wars, etc. I was quite upset, angry, sad, and many more emotions as I completed reading the newspaper. Let’s analyze what I’ve read in the newspaper!

                It was 2013, and I was in class fifth when my teacher told us about an incident which was the “2012 Delhi gang rape and murder case” (for the people who don’t know about his case: This incident happened in 2012 in which a girl was raped and assaulted by six men in a bus), for the first time in my life I heard this word “RAPE”, and after listening to the incident a HATE was built for this dirty word and their criminals. Today while reading the news, I saw this word more frequently; Small girls who haven’t opened their eyes properly are raped; Old women who can’t walk properly are raped; At schools, girls are raped; At colleges, girls are raped; At even their homes, girls are raped; and now what I read in the news was a lady doctor was raped in a hospital. We should all be ashamed that from small girls to old women no one is safe; from schools to colleges, from offices to their homes, girls are not secure and now Doctors, we always say that a doctor is a god who saves the lives of people and now not even gods are safe. Every day, a new case comes, every day a girl is raped and what are we doing to protect them? What are we doing to the criminals? Why aren't we doing anything?

                We live in Kali Yuga, and our Lord Krishna said that Kali Yuga would be full of darkness, crimes, inhumanity, iniquity, sins, and much more. We could see this happening, women cannot travel alone at night, and they cannot wear what they want, because the person who is doing the crime says that she was wearing this and I did that. What was the doctor wearing? A white coat to save the people's life? What was the old grandma wearing? What was the small 6 months old girl wearing? The problem is not in her dressing; the problem is not her age; the problem is not day or night; The problem is these criminal people, their lustful eyes, their evil mindset, why are they even alive? Right to life? Where is the right to life gone when every day a girl is raped, assaulted, and murdered. Because of these criminals, no girl can feel safe anywhere not even on any corner of this world.

                Let’s talk about today’s world, a rapist is kept in jail, he eats, he sleeps and after several years he is punished, the Nirbhaya case took 7 years for the judgment; why is there so much delay? Why can a person even think about doing this? I think one of the problems is the time delay in our judiciary system; another problem is the people who are trying to save the criminal; another problem is that there is no fear of punishment in the people; another problem is the sexual content that is available on the internet. Every day these contents are circulated from one account to another and people are watching them, the problem doesn't end here; after consuming this type of content every day, their eyes and brain cells are so full of lust and hateful views that they commit crimes. Why is this content not banned properly? Why can a teenager consume the content after just checking the captcha?

                At last, I would say that we are failing as a human, there are inhumanity acts every day. We cannot build safe spaces for women what else can she expect from us? I would like to request our judiciary system to reduce the time delay in making a judgment so that criminals get their punishment on time also the punishment should be so harsh that not even another person could think of doing the crime again. I would also like to raise my voice about sexual content, it should be banned. Over 2 lakh cases of rape are pending, I would want the judiciary to hear the cases as soon as possible and give harsh punishment to the criminals so that no one could even think of repeating any crime.

                On this 78^th Independence Day, let's create safe spaces for women and everyone who are living on this planet. Let’s fight for them, let's save them from these criminals, let's build a country in which a girl can wear anything they wish; let's build a country in which all ages of girls are safe and even at night they can go anywhere they want; let's help everyone whenever they are in need; let's change our mindset; let's change our point of views while looking at people; let's stop commenting on anyone on roads or anywhere; Let’s build a country with safe spaces for everyone and with no offenses.
