"The Rise of Technology!"
The technology is rising daily and we are upgrading all the products to the next level! From low internet speeds to very high 5G internet speeds, we are going like a rocket. Life is becoming easier day by day because of the everyday inventions and upgrades… So today, let’s talk more about technology and its impacts on our lives.
Let's have a small throwback
from where we started and now where we stand:
·
We
started with Telephones and we are using Smartphones with assistant and A.I.
·
Big
computers were used for calculators and now we have small, compact, and very
powerful computers.
·
From
Computer, we moved to laptops which are more convenient to travel with.
·
Laptops
were still big and smartphones were still small, hence Tablets came into the
place.
·
People
wanted upgrades while reading books, so Kindle came to help, and now we can
read eBooks.
·
We
started with small, heavy, and black and white televisions, now we are using
big, slim, lightweight LED Smart televisions.
·
Theaters
play an important role in the lives of people who always enjoy watching films
on the big screen, hence projectors came into the place, and now from
projectors to VR and now Vision Pro (VR with a lot more features).
·
What's
the time right now? Looked on the phone? A few times back, Watches were
invented for time-related information but now there are smart watches that will
show you information on not just the time but also the fitness level of your
body!
·
Smart
watches were still not comfortable for some people as we cannot sleep while
wearing them, so Smart Ring came onto the market which will give you more
precise information with sleep tracking.
·
Cars
were invented to travel with less time and more speed, but now we have Smart
cars that can drive the car.
·
We've
changed from wired products to wireless products such as earphones, chargers,
keyboards, mouse, etc.
·
We
started with hi-tech Metro trains and now we have driverless Metro trains.
·
We
have robots, machines, and much more.
After reading to all these, doesn’t it feel like we’ve come a long way? Keeping
everything aside, one of the most life-changing upgrades in our lives is AI
which is Artificial Intelligence. AI has changed our lives as it can respond to
us the same way as our brain does! This was all about the flashback, now let’s
move to the impacts of the rising technology in our lives:
·
Smartphones:
It is now the most essential part of our life. Phone calls, Video calls,
Texting, Chatting, social media, eBooks, pdf, meetings, ChatGPT, google,
YouTube, and much more. We are so busy on our phones, that we aren't looking at
the negative impacts of our lives which are:
o
We
are totally dependent on our smartphones, for a small calculation we open a
calculator to calculate.
o
We
are so busy on our smartphones that we forget that our precious time is going
on every second.
o
Social
media have a huge impact as it has short video-type content which consumes a
lot of our time and sometimes, we aren't aware of it.
o
The
loss of memory, People have experienced this as they are spending most of their
time on their mobile phones.
·
Computers:
Our generation has totally changed the definition of computers and laptops; I
will show you how:
o
Laptops
are here and now we can travel with our device anywhere and we can do our work
at any place.
o
There
were computers to do work like attending meetings, doing work on Excel,
creating presentations, writing blogs, etc. But now there are Gaming
computers/laptops which are very powerful devices with great configurations
that can do gaming.
o
Now,
computers are also made for gaming, people play games and streams on different
apps. People do gaming for a very long time and I have seen people breaking
their systems as they are playing with all of their emotions. We can see that
the brain is being affected by this long gaming session.
o
There
are AI computers that are smarter and which can make the work easier.
·
Televisions: The
latest televisions are not just televisions but we can call them slim displays
of entertainment:
o Earlier, televisions were just
useless until any cable or Dish was connected to them, but now there are smart
TVs that don't require these.
o There are a lot of applications
provided in the TVs which can give you a bunch of entertainment.
o There are rollable TVs that can roll
up and roll down when you want to use them.
o There is wireless connectivity in
TVs that ensures tidiness around the TV.
o All these features have changed the
definition of TVs, as now we have a whole cinema in our homes. We can watch any
movie as there are OTT platforms, no need to go to the cinema hall. Do you
think a TV should have more features?
·
VR: Virtual
Reality is one of the latest technologies which can thrill you:
o There are VR glasses that can take
you to any place while wearing them.
o As it is very close to your eyes,
the genre you are watching can make you feel different emotions but it can also
affect the eyes.
o Apple Vision Pro: The product by Apple can be used to
play games, and watch movies or it can also take you to any place and you can
also control the situations by hand gestures.
o While shopping online, you can also
have a 3D trial, doesn’t it look amazing?
·
Smart Watches: After the watches, now there is a trend of wearing Smart Watches. This
was after the launch of Fitness Bands; the smartwatches came into the market
and now in every hand of people you could see a smartwatch:
o It allows you to connect your phone
wirelessly; You can attend your phone calls and see your messages.
o You can track your health.
o You can make fitness goals and
complete them with your watch.
o We can also track and manage our
stress levels.
o Some of them also come with games,
so you can play games in them.
o Smartwatches are changing the
fashion of wearing watches, they also have a battery that needs to be charged
after a few days when the battery is empty; Another device added to the list
that needs to be charged!
·
Smart Ring:
Smart Rings basically came after Smart Watches; its main goal is to track your
fitness and:
o Smart Watches are big but rings are
small and more comfortable to wear.
o Everyone is not comfortable wearing
a watch while sleeping but we can wear a ring while sleeping and it will track
our whole sleep and give us suggestions for a healthy sleep.
·
Smart Cars:
As intelligence was added to more and more products in the market, it was then
added to cars:
o Now cars have an autopilot feature
that can drive the car automatically.
o There is lane assist, which drives
your car in a single lane.
o There is an auto park feature, that
can park your car automatically.
o These features are good, people find
it easier to drive the cars but people also keep an eye on cars as we cannot
blindly trust the car’s intelligence if we have ours.
·
Artificial Intelligence: Artificial intelligence is something that is changing the definition of
everyday work and living. It is launched in the following products:
o Smartphone’s Assistant.
o Laptops and computers.
o Inverters.
o Air conditioner.
o Fans.
o Lights.
o Switches and many more.
Now after the human brain, these will also have their own brains. These
devices have more power and longer life, after the reviews of people we got to
know that these have made their life easier and they find it easy to operate which
means there is a positive impact of AI. Let’s move to the last section which is
the conclusion and my feelings about the rise of technology.
As we all know there are both positive and negative impacts on our lives
and we've discussed almost both of them. Now, What I feel is:
·
We
are more dependent on technology:
o
We
open our phone’s calculator for a small calculation.
o
We
do our homework with the help of online tools like ChatGPT.
·
We
waste most of our time on social media; this is actually a trap that I feel,
becomes a habit of social media that after every 10-15 minutes there is an urge
to open Instagram or Facebook or any other app. There is a short video section
that is so addictive that it can take your 1-2 hours without even letting you
know.
·
Loss
of memory is something that I have also faced; The topics that I've studied
vanish faster from the brain cells and something that is not related to studies
stays for a longer period of time.
·
Nowadays
gaming is something that is rising day by day and there are Esports tournaments
that are held internationally, but I feel that gaming should be allowed after a
certain age is achieved as playing for hours and hours affects our brain.
·
Something
that I feel unusual is that we are using a lot of gadgets and it started with a
mobile then headphones then smartwatches then smart rings and now VRs; doesn't
it feel like we are calling more and more machinery to our bodies, I feel like
we've surrendered to the technology, as they are making products and if we are
capable of buying it, we are using it.
·
There
is a concept of virtual reality and Metaverse. People wear their VRs and go
into different reality it looks amazing but we are getting cases of people
getting raped in virtual reality seriously, this concept of virtual reality is
new but people started doing crimes in that too, totally SHAMEFUL!
·
There
are robots here that can do the work of a human and factories are full of
robots that are doing heavy work in a few hours but we've also seen that giving
brains to robots could be a danger to humans as their thoughts would be totally
different in different scenarios and also when it comes to feeling an emotion.
·
Nowadays,
I feel like there are only a few people who believe in hard work as most people
here are dependent on AI searches for doing their homework, projects, or office
work. Taking help or clues is good but coping with the whole work and not using
our brain is something that tells our dependency on technology.
This was
all for the blog, at last I would say that using technology is good, as our
time is saved, we have to do less work, but also be aware of everything we are
using, as it affects our lives mentally, physically or socially. Comment your
views and what you think about this topic! Don't forget to share the blog with
others, especially with those who use a lot of tech products. Thanks for
reading…
