"Throwback to The First Year of College Life!"
Hey guys! What’s up? I hope you’re all fine! Today I wanted to share my experience of the first year of college life and also how I feel about college life so let's start!
My school life ended and my college life
started in lockdown! I got admission to Deshbandhu College and I am currently
pursuing B.SC. (CS). Due to the lockdown, our classes were being held in online
mode and most of the people were in their hometowns and everyone used to attend
the online classes from their homes. We had a timetable which was followed
every day from 8:30 in the morning to 2:30 or sometimes 3:30 in the afternoon,
as it was the same timetable followed in the college in physical mode. It was a
long timetable, and we had to look at the mobile/ computer screens for about
five to six hours. In the first few days, we were completely new to each other
and I didn't know anyone in the class, so it took time to know each other. We
got to know more about our teachers and their teaching styles, every teacher
had their unique way to teach and it was both knowledgeable and fun in studying
in online mode!
Now as we all know that if there
are advantages then there may be disadvantages too, so some of the
disadvantages of the online mode were that we had to stare at the computer/
mobile screen for many and many hours which is harmful to our eyes, there were
sometimes connection problems, and there were lab classes too so it was
difficult to understand the experiments in online mode and as the time passed
our excitement towards the online class went down and after few weeks we heard
the news of "Colleges reopen", it was a piece of amazing news to hear
and then we all became excited about our offline class!
It was the first day of college,
everyone was standing outside the college and waiting for all of our classmates
and this was the first time we interacted with each other face to face! I was
very grateful to meet both our teachers and classmates. All classes went well
and now comes the exams, but as the semester was online same was for the exam.
Everyone was happy in giving the exams online as it was easy giving the exams
online as compared to offline exams. Exams went well and now comes the second
semester!
The second semester started! Now we
were very much familiar with our classes and teachers and hence our classes
went well, sometimes when there were no classes we made plans to visit some
places in Delhi and we enjoyed the small trips, it was great fun! Time passed
and now comes the final exams, our classes got suspended and we prepared for
our exams. It was the first exam and as you know after almost one to two years
we were going to give an offline exam so there was stress all around. Some
exams went well and some were not that good but we got the idea of the exams in
college! Now, I am currently in my second year, the first year went well, just
hoping that this year also goes well!
In the last there are a few things
I would like to tell you about the college; college is completely different from
school. Something that you get in college is freedom but not all the freedom,
colleges also have their rules and regulations, the freedom which I am talking
about is "No one will tell you to attend any class and no one will force
you to" which means you're free and on your own, if you want to attend the
classes you're most welcome but if you don't want to attend classes no one will
force you to! There are different societies in the colleges like art society,
music society, drama society, etc. which you can join and take your interest
and passion forward! There is much more to explore in college life!
So
this was all for the blog, comment below with some of your happy moments spent
in college and if you are not in college, you can share with the college do you
want your admission to be if you want to share! Thanks for reading; Have a nice
day!
